Now, to Cell Phone users complaining about Quality of Service.
Have you ever been on your cell phone and notice when speaking you hear an echo of yourself?
Or have you heard only part of a person’s conversation because every other syllable was dropped out?
Poor Quality of Service may not be solely attributed to Service Providers alone.
Who knows? It might be your mobile phone.
Interestingly… This could be due to a number of issues.
Do you know that using sub-standard phones can affect the quality of your telephone service?
Well, you need to break the bank to get a good phone. But do you know that the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has explained why it insists mobile phones to be sold to telecom consumers must meet approved guidelines and regulations regarding type approval.
A quick peep into the Telecom Regulator’s website, it shows series of clamp downs and sealing off of some mobile phone company for non-type approved phones.
This according to the Commission is to ensure that Quality of Service delivery in the telecoms sector is not been depreciated by sub-standard phones.
According to the NCC, In the telecommunications industry, type approval is granted to a product or piece of equipment that meets a minimum set of regulatory, technical and safety requirements, including conformity to local regulations before it is approved for use in that jurisdiction.
