Agunbiade showered encomiums on Senator Bamidele for mooting such a populist and human capital development programme that can reduce poverty and transform the lives of the downtrodden populace for better.

The LG boss said with the frightening and disturbing height of unemployment in the country, that the idea of exposing people to business opportunities has become expedient and stand out as the best way to rescue the people out of the current vicious poverty level.

“You all know what is happening around us now that white collar jobs are difficult to get. Whatever you are given as empowerment like Senator Opeyemi Bamidele is doing, use it judiciously. Use it for your progress , progress of Ekiti and the progress of the nation.

” From this moment, I believe poverty will be a thing of the past in your lives, if you can practicalise whatever you are taught here.

“If you are empowered, make sure you use the built capacity or whatever you are given for what it is meant for. God will continue to help you”, Agunbiade said.

In his lecture entitled :’ Be Your Own Boss’, a resource person, Mr. Julius Akaigbe, said business remains the best strategy for people to rule the world, not only by amassing wealth or attaining financial self sustainability ,but to gain fame and global reckoning.

The consultant added that for them to be successful entrepreneurs, they must be persistent, resolute, energetic, focused , independent, prudent, and exude high level of self confidence.

Akaigbe also advised that being good risk taking persons, visionary personalities , competitive individuals , lproblem solving skills, hardworking, honest and innovative will help them in rising meteorically above their peers and those ahead of them in the business world.

He said it is more rewarding for people to work on their own since it has become an evidence-based fact that employers don’t create opportunities for employees to accumulate wealth .

“If You want to rule the world by yourselves you must embrace self employment drives. If you want to become a wealth creator and employers of labour, you can’t achieve it when you are under somebody”, he counseled .

Akaigbe stated that the training would delve deeply into how to write business plan, financial management of business on a small scale, how to take business to the next level and sustenance of a business from the scratch to enviable stability status.
