Operation Safe Corridor Admits 893 ex- Combatant for Rehabilitation Programme

Operation Safe Corridor has admitted 893 ex- combatant for the radicalization, rehabilitation and reintegration programme.

Coordinator, Defense Media Operations, Major Gen. John Enenche made the disclosure while updating the journalists on the Nigeria Armed Forces operations in Abuja, Thursday.

Gen. Enenche said that Operation Safe Corridor has been administered by four hundred and sixty eight staff drawn from seventeen organizations including the Armed Forces of Nigeria (AFN), law enforcement and security agencies and other federal government ministries department and agencies (MDAs).

He stated that, it is not a process of assembling raw repentant ex combatants to inject back into the the society by the military.

Gen. Enenche said that operation safe corridor is that of a unique non – kinetic operations aimed at giving hope to ex – combatant who willingly give up their arms to embrace peace.

He also stated that two hundred and eighty combatant including two Chadian have successfully reintegrated back to the society through their respective national and state authorities.
