The Director General National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Dr Isa Ali Pantami has reinstated his commitment to promote Digital Literacy. The DG made this known during a panel discussion at the DAI Roundtable and Book Launch held at Transcorp Hotel, Abuja.
The Agency established an Office for ICT Innovation and Entrepreneurship (OIIE) as a subsidiary under National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), which focuses on identifying ICT Startups with promising potentials, mentor them, incubate them, and expose them to international experiences in order to promote Digital Literacy in Nigeria.
Dr Pantami also stated that the Agency is sponsoring Students for both MSC and PhD Programmes and is also organizing specialized ICT training for Persons Living with Disabilities, Women, Artisans and Youths as part of its Capacity Building Drive.
Other Panelists include Principal Economist, Central Bank of Nigeria, Ms Ladi Bala Keffi, Director General, National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), Commissioner, Budget and Planning Kaduna State, Mr Muhammed Sani Abdullahi among others.
