IGP Flags Off Free Prostrate Cancer Screening For Members of the Nigerian Police

Apart from diabetes and high blood pressure, Prostrate cancer is said to be a known killer disease in the world.


As part of welfare package, the Inspector General of Police Mohammed Abubakar Adamu has flagged off a free prostrate cancer screening and treatment for the members of the Nigerian Police who are above 40years.

The IG urged members of the Nigerian Police to take advantage of the opportunity. He added by saying the country can not be secure without a healthy police organization.

The force Medical Officer, DCP Olubiyi Ogunsanwo commended the Police Chief for the development describing it as first of its kind. He admonished the officers to avail themselves for the screening.


 Dr Stanley Boniface who is a neurologist in charge of the program which is also in collaboration with Stanley foundation and the support of the Executive Governor of Imo State Hon Hope Uzodimma.
