Stakeholders in Nigeria’s oil and gas industry and in the area of content development are making a case for greater involvement to ensure progress and sustainability in the sector.
This sums up the views at a two-day public hearing of the Joint Senate Committee on Local Content and House Committee on Nigeria Content Development and Monitoring held Tuesday at the National Assembly in Abuja, TnTv Network exclusively gathered.
Speaking amongst other stakeholders at the National Assembly, the Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communication Commission, Prof. Umar Garba Danbatta said the communication industry and information communication technology as gone a long way in harnessing local content in all spheres.

The National Assembly is taking a new thrust towards local content as a way to achieve capacity development in the oil and gas sector.
The three Bills under consideration are the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Countent Development Act, the Nigerian Local Content Enforcement Bill and the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Content Act (Repeal and Re-enactment) Bill.
